POD process has been widely used in PE printing and laminating substrate, cold stretch casing film, PE heat shrink film, and reflects some common advantages：

1.The mechanical properties of the products are improved, and the excellent mechanical properties and stiffness of the films can be guaranteed without using too much metallocene, which can easily reduce the cost of raw materials for production.

2.A wider range of variation in interlayer ratios reduces overall material costs and minimizes the use of expensive raw materials while maintaining the functionality of the film in use. At the same time, it is possible to use a higher ratio of LLDPE, or a solution that replaces LDPE.

The amount of inorganic low molecular additions such as slip agent, opening agent and color masterbatch can be designed in the second outer layer or second inner layer according to the migration rate of the additions, which can effectively avoid the migration of too many low molecular substances on the laminated and printed surfaces, resulting in the decrease of lamination and printing fastness. Masterbatch does not need to be added in the heat seal layer, so the safety of heat seal is effectively guaranteed.

At CHINAPLAS 2018 in Shanghai, Begaard and Boru Petrochemicals jointly demonstrated the new high stiffness stand-up pouch PE base material solution.

The new solution has a higher stiffness, which is one of the basic properties required to achieve single material recyclability. It is also designed with a matte finish to give the end consumer a higher customer experience.

The exhibition demonstration was widely recognized by high-end customers at home and abroad, and the project was ordered on the spot by a customer in Jiangmen, Guangdong.
